The Heyler Co. was founded by William F. 'Bill' Heyler in 1927. He was joined by Ellis Winzeler in 1950. After Mr. Heyler's death in 1960, Mr. Winzeler owned and operated The Heyler Co. until 1994, when Mary Stewart became the third owner.

Mary Stewart has lived in Los Angeles since 1963. Raised in Des Moines, Iowa, she moved to Rancho Park in 1972. Her daughters, Laura and Monica, graduated from local schools. Laura taught at Culver City High School and Monica at the ERAS Center in Culver city. Both Mary and her husband Steve have played an active role in community affairs for many years. Mary has been dedicated to fundraising for The CLARE Foundation's Women and Children's Living Center since 1984.

The Heyler Co. was instrumental in acquiring the Rancho Park golf course and planting hundreds of trees which grace the community.

The Heyler Co. stands on its strong tradition of community service and preserving a neighborhood quality of life for over 75 years.
